The airport serves as a hub for Aerolíneas Argentinas, is heavily served by Austral Líneas Aéreas and Gol Transportes Aéreos, and is a destination for many others including Air Canada, Air France, Alitalia, American Airlines, British Airways, Delta, Iberia, KLM, the LATAM family, Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines, and many more. ![]() Now, runway 05/23 is closed, and actually serves as parking for large aircraft while cleaning and refueling. At the time the airport was the largest airport in Latin America and (in a throwback to my home airport) the only one with three runways forming an A: 05/23, 11/29, and 17/35. The first civilian flight to serve the airport was interestingly an international service from London Heathrow in 1946. The airport is located 22 kilometers southwest of Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina. ![]() Unsurprisingly, the airport looks great in traditional TropicalSim style, it’s a highly detailed rendition of Ministro Pistarini International Airport, in Ezeiza, a city within the district of Buenos Aires.
